Cádomotus, performance at your feet

Partner of the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon since 2022, the Dutch brand Cádomotus cultivates technology and performance. In addition to its range of helmets, trifunctions and bags, its cycling shoes with carbon soles have made a remarkable breakthrough on the market. This innovation surprises and seduces the most demanding triathletes. The best proof: Niek Heldoorn (winner of the Embrunman 2022) and Rico Bogen (IM 70.3 world champion in 2023) have just signed up with Cádomotus. And that’s just the beginning.

The name says it all: the Chronos Aero and the Worldcup T2 are designed to go fast, whatever the distance. With their carbon shell, thermoformable footbed and aerodynamic design, Cádomotus shoes are starting to be famous in the world of triathlon. Among those who have already adopted them is Niek Heldoorn, winner of the Embrunman in 2022 as he was only 23 years old. Last January, the young Dutchman signed a 3-year contract with Cadomotus, motivated by “the quality of the carbon sole, the aerodynamics and the support that the shoes offer during long distances. In cycling, every watt counts and the more efficient you are, the more minutes you save”. More power, better energy transfer, optimum support and, ultimately, better time: Cádomotus shoes are radically geared towards performance.

Shoes that seduce the world's best triathletes

The 2023 IM 70.3 world champion has also succumbed to the attractions of this explosive product. The revelation of the 2023 season, Rico Bogen (Germany) has adopted the Chronos Aero, which he describes as “having everything you could want in a cycling shoe”. Even if the gains are marginal, as his trainer Joseph Spindler admits, victory comes down to details like these: “We’re always looking for the best equipment. The differences are often minimal because all the products are top-of-the-range. But we think this shoe can improve Rico’s results. It’s 100% different from conventional cycling shoes.”

"The perfect combination of technology and comfort".

These differences are due to the structure of the shoe itself: instead of the usual sole topped by an upper, Cádomotus shoes are made from a true carbon shell that is extremely rigid and thin, guaranteeing excellent power transfer. The thermoforming process ensures that the fit is perfectly adapted to the individual’s morphology, and is therefore extremely comfortable. Rico Bogen says: “The power is transmitted directly to the pedal, and nowhere else. I really appreciate that. What’s more, there’s less pain in my calf muscles, which is great.” The world champion also hopes that the aerodynamics will enable him to develop a few extra watts in competition. The ease with which they can be put on and off should also help him save time during transitions, so that he can begin the running part being fresher. The Cádomotus models “provide both stability and comfort for the feet, which are much less tired. That’s a major advantage when you start running. These cycling shoes are the perfect combination of technology and comfort,” says Niek Heldoorn.

Other top-level triathletes have included Cádomotus models in their competition kit, such as Marlene de Boer (European vice-champion) and several members of the BMC Triathlon Team. Originally an expert in ice speed skates, which have made a huge contribution to the development of the Chronos Aero and the Worldcup T2, Cádomotus has established itself as an excellent equipment supplier in the world of triathlon.
