The 16th edition is fast approaching and it is time to unveil some of the new features that will enhance the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon. In 2022, a special effort has been made on the Village Expo by Renault Vizille, with more brands and more animations than ever. Among the activities on the programme, we are particularly pleased to offer 3 initiation sessions in Running Yoga! Under the guidance of Bénédicte Sauvetre, a masseur and physiotherapist from Alpe d’Huez, these free workshops for participants (places are limited) could boost the triathletes’ performance and, more importantly, their well-being. Here is an explanation with the master of ceremonies.
I am a 40 year old, native from Britany and mother of 2 children (a 9 year old boy and a 6 year old girl). I have been working as a physiotherapist in Alpe d’Huez with my husband for 13 years. Running is part of my life and contributes to my personal balance! I am now a Running Yoga ambassador to pass on my experience and help people discover this unique concept.
I discovered Running Yoga thanks to Alexandra Louison, a well-known pro athlete in the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon. What attracted me was the accessibility of this method. Unlike traditional yoga, it is a yoga adapted to the runner, accessible to all, from the beginner to the high level competitor. It has become an essential complement to my sporting and professional practice.
"A yoga method adapted to runners and accessible to all."
Bénédicte Sauvetre, ambassadrice Running YOGA
Running Yoga allows you to find inner serenity and relaxation during the effort, whether in the water, on the bike or running. Very quickly, the stride improves, breathing is optimised, proprioception is refined, which allows you to go further with less fatigue and fewer injuries.
3 workshops are scheduled during the week of the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon, in the finish area of the Alpe d’Huez Stadium.

Each workshop is led by two “Running Yogis” who are ambassadors of the method (Audrey, Pauline or myself) and takes place in two stages: one hour on the mat, with simple yoga exercises that will refine our perception, and then half an hour of practice with the trainers during which we will discover new sensations. We provide the mat if needed. The atmosphere is fun and educational, so don’t hesitate to join us!
