False start. The dates of the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon 2025, initially announced as 28 July to 1 August, have finally been changed… by one day! The pinnacle of the triathlon will therefore be held for the first time, from Sunday 27 to Thursday 31 July.
With these new dates, the Alpe d’Huez Triathlon Week 2025 has a new layout, but the order of the races remains the same, as does the desire to bring together the entire triathlon community for several days in the resort.
Explanations from the race director, Cyrille Neveu
“Following a meeting with the relevant authorities and local councillors last week, it has been decided to adjust the dates of the 2025 event. This change is the result of a prefectoral decree aimed at minimising the impact of sporting events on summer traffic in the Oisans Valley. Despite the increase in the number of participants this year, we are delighted that traffic levels have been reduced during the events in 2024, thanks to the good cooperation of the triathletes and their supporters. We’re sorry to go back on our first announcement of dates, but experience has taught us that flexibility and adaptability are the key to organising this event!”
